Monument to Abylai Khan

The monument to the prominent statesman, military leader, and khan of the Kazakh Khanate, Abylai, is located in Almaty, situated on the square facing the railway complex station. The monument was officially unveiled in 2000. The sculptural composition was created by the renowned Kazakh sculptor S.K. Baimagambetov, while the architectural design was developed by a team of architects led by T. Eraliev.
