Nomad Fortress

Nomad Castle, also known as the City of Nomads or Fortress Nomad, is a large historical and ethnographic complex in the Almaty Region. It was built in 2004–2005 specifically for the filming of the feature film “Nomad”. The complex recreates the atmosphere of a medieval nomadic city with fortress walls, yurts, towers, and traditional buildings.
