Saint Nicholas Cathedral

Saint Nicholas Cathedral is an active Orthodox church in Almaty. The cathedral was built in 1909–1910 from wood. The building is an architectural monument and one of the oldest preserved wooden churches in the city. The cathedral survived the strong Verny earthquake of 1911.
