Palace of the Republic

The Palace of the Republic is a large cultural and entertainment complex in Almaty. The building was constructed in 1970 and for a long time served as one of the main concert halls in the city. The Palace is designed for concerts, theatrical performances, conferences, and official events. The large hall has a capacity of 3,000 seats.
