Theatre for Children and Youth named after N. Sats

N. Sats State Academic Russian Theatre for Children and Youth is the oldest professional theatre for young audiences in Almaty. Its history began in 1944 with a decree to organize a youth theatre in the capital of the Kazakh SSR. The founder and first director was the legendary director Natalia Ilyinichna Sats, whose name was officially given to the theatre in 1995. Later, the institution received a prestigious academic status for its contribution to art.
