Republican Grand Mosque

Republican Grand Mosque — The largest Islamic worship complex in Astana and one of the grandest in Central Asia. The history of this monumental structure began in 2019, when the first foundation stone was laid. The official opening of the facility took place in 2022. The construction was funded entirely by non-budgetary sources and voluntary donations, and the project itself was conceived as a new nationwide spiritual symbol and an important architectural landmark of the capital of Kazakhstan.
