The Monument to Shokan Ualikhanov was erected in Almaty in 1969 in front of the Academy of Sciences. It was created by sculptor Khakimzhan Nauryzbayev and architect Shota Ualikhanov. The bronze statue, standing about eight meters high, portrays the scholar in a thoughtful pose, while the pedestal features traditional ornaments and artistic elements connected to his legacy.
