The Kazakh State Circus is one of the oldest circus institutions in Kazakhstan. It was founded in the 1930s. The circus building, constructed in the 1970s, is located in the center of Almaty and is one of the recognizable architectural landmarks of the city. The hall has a capacity of about 1,600 seats.
