The Gylym Ordasy Library traces its history back to 1932, when the first scientific branch of the Academy of Sciences was established in Alma-Ata. What began as a small collection of books gradually developed into one of the largest scientific libraries in Kazakhstan. Today, it is located within the historic Academy of Sciences complex and forms part of the Gylym Ordasy scientific center.
