Panorama: Dawn of Independence

The panorama “Dawn of Independence” is part of the “Dawn of Freedom” memorial complex unveiled in Almaty in 2006 to mark the twentieth anniversary of the December 1986 events. The composition takes the form of an extended relief featuring numerous figures and scenes that gradually reveal the artists’ concept. Combining sculpture with narrative elements, the panorama functions as a visual story carved into stone and bronze.
