The Monument to Temirbek Karayevich Zhurgenov stands in Almaty in front of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts, which bears his name. The monument was unveiled on December 6, 2001, and was created by sculptor Ye. Sergebayev. Its location beside one of the country's leading institutions of art highlights Zhurgenov's lasting connection with the development of artistic education and culture in Kazakhstan.
