Monument to Viktor Tsoi
A monument to legendary musician, poet, and Kino band leader Viktor Tsoi, unveiled in Almaty in 2018. It stands at the filming location of the культ film The Needle and is one of the best-known memorials to Tsoi outside Russia.

The Monument to Viktor Tsoi stands on Tulebayev Street near the intersection with Kabanbay Batyr Street, where the final scenes of the cult film The Needle were filmed. The life-sized bronze sculpture depicts Tsoi as Moro, the film's main character, holding a lighter. Metal plaques with lines from his famous songs are embedded in the pavement around the monument.
