The Cathedral of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky stands within the Saint Paraskeva parish in Almaty's Turksib District. The foundation stone was blessed on November 10, 2015, construction began in 2017, and the cathedral was solemnly consecrated on December 5, 2021, to mark the 800th anniversary of Saint Alexander Nevsky's birth.
