Mukhtar Auezov Scientific and Cultural Center (House-Museum)

The Mukhtar Auezov Scientific and Cultural Center is located in Almaty and is a memorial house-museum of the outstanding Kazakh writer, playwright, and public figure Mukhtar Omarovich Auezov. The house was built in 1962 according to the design of architect A. Korzhev. Mukhtar Auezov lived here from 1962 to 1963. The museum was opened in 1963, shortly after the writer’s death.
