Public Library No. 26 was founded in 1972 and has served as an educational and cultural center in Almaty's Turksib District for more than fifty years. In 2020, the library was modernized with comfortable reading areas, updated facilities, and welcoming public spaces. Today it combines the traditional role of a library with the functions of a modern community center.
