Kolsay Lakes

The Kolsay Lakes, often called the "blue necklace" of the Tien Shan, are a cascade of three alpine lakes situated at different altitudes. The most accessible, Lower Lake, impresses with its eighty-meter depth and a mirror-like surface that perfectly reflects ancient spruce trees. The path to Middle Lake, the largest and most scenic of the three, winds through dense coniferous forests and alpine meadows, while the chain ends with the small, wild Upper Lake, hidden among rugged cliffs at nearly three thousand meters.
