Total Theater Company

The Total Theater Company was founded in 2019 in Almaty by director and artistic director Anton Zaitsev. The idea behind the theater was to create performances that fully unite different art forms on one stage. The name “Total” reflects the concept of Gesamtkunstwerk — the complete synthesis of drama, dance, music, puppetry, circus, and visual arts. The very first production, “Rock.Carmen”, created together with Russian director Elistin Mikhaylov, immediately attracted attention with its bold experimental style.
