Almaty Zoo

Almaty Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Kazakhstan. It was founded in 1937 on the basis of a small animal corner in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation. In 1983, the zoo moved to its current territory in the eastern part of the park. The total area of the zoo is about 54 hectares.
